From its organizational support of a $3 million renovation of historic Avondale Park to redevelopment initiatives in Woodlawn, Main Street Birmingham is helping to create attractive spaces for work and play.

Woodlawn United - A holistic redevelopment initiative that aims to radically improve cradle-to-college educational opportunities, mixed income housing, youth and adult development programs, jobs and job training, health and wellness programs, and commercial investment.

Main Street Birmingham believes catalytic developments demonstrate an area’s potential and attract future investment.  In addition to its own past and future redevelopment projects, Main Street Birmingham can help developers invest in target district by sharing market data and providing links to government services, incentives and other funding.
